The Facts On Mid-life Crisis & Mid-Career Dissatisfaction

Rahul is now facing dissatisfaction in mid career

He is not able to gauge if the position he is in is right for him. At the age of 35, he is listlessly thinking if it is possible to do anything about it, at the moment.

Rahul is living an unfulfilled life. And it is having a bad effect on his job execution and individual satisfaction.

At the office, Rahul has lost out on a higher position; on the domestic front, his problem at work has even caused many fights within the family.

He had big work goals when he set forth on his career. The hopes have evaporated for causes he is not able to fathom.

Rahul is a typical example. There are many thousands of middle level professionals (midpros), like Rahul, who are stuck in dead-end jobs, with many more years of work still to go. They constitute a bulwark of the managerial classes.

Given the right chances at their workspots, they are fit for taking care of themselves, their companies and their country and crossing big barriers to success.

Rahul, and midpros like him, need our help. Here are 5 forms of help :

a. Midpros Career Guidance: Rahul needs someone to guide him onto a viable career ladder by aiding him in realising his true traits and building upon them accordingly.

b. Midpros Career Counselling: Rahul requires career advice about how to expand his skill set for a probable change in direction, and keep pace with the dynamic needs of industry.

c. Career & Life Quality Enhancement Tools: Rahul would welcome exposure to special tools to help him improve on his workwise and personal good health.

d. Midpro Career Forums: Rahul has a strong desire to interact with other midpros like himself; then he would understand that he is not isolated in his situation, currently; he could also uncover the methods others are using to attack such problems.

e. Midpro Placement Services: Should Rahul want to look for another role/ company, he requires aid in finding the appropriate one, targeted at advancing his career ambitions.

A midpro usually faces two types of situations. He/ She seeks the right job/ role:

1. that suits him/ her, professionally and personally

2. that delineates his/ her ideal career path

Midpros should constantly be asking themselves questions such as,

* "Am I in the right kind of job?", and

* "Am I moving in the right direction?"

Then, when it comes to placement, midpros must also necessarily make the right moves. The 4 steps to achieve this are:

(i) Employing a professional to write their resume and oversee their profile description

(ii) Presenting their achievements in the resume against the job description of the job in question

(iii) Tallying their profile with the Company Profile and Job Profile, for achieving the perfect match

(iv) Getting ready to take the Placements Tests and attend Interviews and making sure they DO land the job/role in their company of choice

Unluckily, many midpros are left behind by other successful people, because there is no one to help and guide them beyond all these procedures. Fortunately, once the midpro is enlightened about the solutions outlined above and applies mid course corrections, he/she could definitely have a favorable career and a happy personal life.
